Undone is a concert film for the piece Undone by Matthew Knight performed in the Recital Hall at the University of Montana April 6th 2024.

The Challenge

Matthew needed a film that told the story of this song and performance. There were so many elements to this performance that planning the filming of this performance was complex. We needed to make sure that every moment of the song had all the shots that I would need to tell the story of the performance. However ultimately, this filmed needed to promote Matthew’s brand as a musician and artist.

The Process

To begin with I needed to gather all of my talented camera operators, and determine where all the gear for the film was going to come from. Following those decisions, I needed to watch the dress rehearsals and start building a plan of how I was going to put my camera operators to use. From there, I placed my camera operators all over the concert hall with various lenses to get all the required wides and close-ups that I would need.

The Result

Matthew now has a complete concert film to showcase his incredible talent as a musician and composer, and further build his brand.
