A music video for the song Yes by Wildlands.

The Challenge

Wildlands, Ben’s band, was wanting to release their new song Yes alongside a music video to help promote their new song and to continue creating a brand for the band.

The Process

We had many discussions of what the song Yes meant to Ben, and how we could translate that to a visual medium. To him it was very important to showcase the good and bad of this idea of getting out of your comfort zone and saying yes to new experiences. He wanted to show that getting out of comfort zone is extremely important as a way of living, but that you can’t get too wrapped up in it. That you can overburden yourself by saying Yes to too many things and run out of time every day.

So we filmed many scenes of getting out of your comfort zone and how exhilarating that can be, but as the film and the song continues it builds up to this chaotic chorus at the end of the song with so many different things going. He’s performing, people are dancing, he’s playing pool, darts, running around, and it becomes hard to make out what’s going on. His character has overburdened himself, and at the end he resumes to a life without the song leaving it up to interpretation how the character will go on. Whether he has learned his lesson or not.

The Result

Ben’s band had a professional music video that worked alongside his new song, and built his brand as a musician.
